Facts and Questions
|
|
First here are some helpful tips and information about the adult industry,
agents and talent services, producers and production. As well as information
about how you get paid and what you should be getting paid.
|
|
It is so important to check references for any service or agency before
joining them. But be careful, many agents or services will give you references
for talent, some of these talent are paid to say nice things about the company.
Make sure you ask for legitmate producer references as well as talent references.
Producers don't have a vested interest in talent agencies and will give you their
honest opinion of an agency as well as tell you what they have heard from other talent
regarding the agency. Producers are your best source of information about agencies.
|
|
Likewise, it is equally important to check references on producers should you choose
to find work on your own. Many so called producers are very good at presenting themselves
in a very professional way. Beware of POV (Point Of View) shoots, or any kind of shoot were
the producer says he is also the talent. Many times this is just some guy looking to get laid.
|
|
The overall advantage to having a good agent or service handle your work is that the agent screens
all new producers before booking any girls with them, also good agents have a long list of legitimate
producers and/or production companies that they have previously booked girls with. This ensures you are
working with safe legitmate companies/producers, and that you will be paid on time. Next, a good agent
does all the "leg work" for you. Finding work on your own is never easy, not being sure if the producer
is legit and safe, not being sure if you are actually gonna get paid the right amount or even at all, and
even finding the work in the first place. These are tough issues to tackle and handle, a good agent does all
this for you. An agent will book you with qualifed companies/producers, only book you with companies/producer
that understand your limitations if any, ensure you get paid the proper amount and get paid promptly for
the work you have done. Also, a good agent will make sure your tavel, transportation, and housing accomodations
are all taken care of and setup for you in advance. Another big reason for having an agent is higher pay for jobs.
When finding work as an independent most producers/production companies will try to hire you at lower rates. Producers
are aware of the fact that most new talent without an agent don't really know what the right pay amount should be for
any given job, so they try to undercut you. Having an agent insures that at the least you are receiving the proper
amount for the work, and that you receive extra money if the job runs long or there are unforseen issues that are not
your fault.
|
|
There is no such thing as "the casting couch" audition. Any legitmate agent or production company/producer
will never ask to "test" your abilities. Anyone who says, "I need to know if you can perform first...", or
"I can train you to be a better performer by having sex with me" is lying. This is normally the first sign
you are in a bullshit situation. Agents should never ask for sex in return for anything, not commission money,
loan repayments, or any other expenses that may come up.
|
|
A good agent will always respect your limitations. You should never be forced or intimidated into doing any work
that is not part of the limitations you agreed to. The agent should always inform you if you have been offered work
that is outside your limitation, but it is your choice to accept those jobs or not.
|
|
Your agent should never have your pay for any job given to the agency. Anytime you complete an assignment the producer/
production company should give payment directly to you, whether it be cash, check, or payroll. It is the agents responsiblity to
collect the commission you owe only after the shoot is completed.
|
|
The Standard commission an agent, or talent service should charge you is 10%-15%. Anyone charging more then this is ripping you
off. Most good agents will assume some cost of you joining their service, the above percentages is more then enough for the agent to
recoup any expense laid out for you and make a profit. If anyone is charging a higher commission it probably means that they can't get
you a large amount of work and they want to make money off the few jobs they can get you.

|
Q: Why should I work with Sensation Modeling instead of one of the other talent companies?
|
A: Our entire staff has worked in the adult industry for years either as producers, talent, or as office staff for other
agencies or production companies. The owner of Sensation Modeling, Jeff Wolf, is an 10yr veteran of the adult industry
and he also owns Wolf Entertainment, a succesful adult production
company. There is no other agent, manager, or service owner in South florida that has been in the industry as long
as him. Jeff, started Sensation Modeling because he could no longer stand seeing the lack of respect and poor treatment
of the girls by the agents and managers he had been doing business over the years to acquire girls for Wolf Entertainment
productions. The great benefit to Sensation Modeling is Jeff's professional relationship with producers in the industry.
Being a respected producer, Jeff has gained an insight into what producers want and how they want to be dealt with.
On the other side after years of working closely with the agents and managers, and even housing girls for agents and
managers, Jeff has come to understand the needs of the girls and how they should be treated. The difference is the
treatment of the talent and the conditions which they are housed. We believe in respecting the girls that work with us.
You wont be sexually harrassed with us, you wont be talked down to, you wont be lied to about assignments, you wont be
hustled out of more money then your commision, you wont be "convinced" to do assignments you are not comfortable with.
What you will get it is honesty and respect, you will be treated with dignity and have a safe, clean comfortable place
to stay. Your needs, opinions, and concerns matter to us. We also believe in guiding girls that want to make careers
by giving them direction and advice that is beneficial to them and not for Sensation Modeling. Also we make sure your
dealing with reputable companies as far as contract offers and long term assignments. For us, it's about what we can do
for you, rather then what you can do for us, we make money if you make money so our first concern is about making you money,
keeping you safe and healthy, and making sure you are happy. What we always suggest before choosing any agency or service
is to ask for references or to ask around about the different agencies, there are several adult chat boards that are very credible.
We are more then willing to supply you with references from producers, talent, and many other people in the industry.
Of coures there are other agents, managers, and services in Florida. DONT BE FOOLED! We opened Sensation Modeling because of the
other agents/managers and they way they handle themselves. Anyone can makeup fake written testimonials on a website, any one can claim to be more
then anyone else, anyone can claim to have some fake background in this or any other industry. We invite you to ask for references
you can speak with, both producers and talent. We invite you to question us as much as you like and for us to offer proof of
our claims. The bottom line, there wouldnt be a need for Sensation Modeling if the other companies had been doing it right and
handling themselves right!

|
Q: Do you charge a commision for finding me work?
|
|
A: Yes we do charge commission for the work we book for you. For local girls the commision is 10%.
For out of the area girls the commission is 15%. The commission is different for local and traveling
girls because local girls are able to provide themselves with transportation to and from jobs we
book for them. The reason we charge commission is simple, we take care of all the work for you.
We handle finding all your work, we handle scheduling your work, we make sure your treated properly
and paid promptly for the work you do, we ensure you only work for qualified industry professionals.
Any problems that may arise before, during, or after a job we handle for you.
|
| |
|
Q: Do I have to sign a contract?
|
|
A: No, you dont have to sign a contract. What we have is a simple agreement stating that we agree
to get you work and you agree to pay us a commission for the work we get you. There is no long
term contract and you may cancel your agreement with us at anytime. Included in the agree is
the 18 USC 2257 paper work required by the federal government that proves you are 18 yrs old
and a standard model release form that allows us to put the portfolio pictures we take of you
on our website so we can book you out to producers for work. We are more then happy to send you
a copy of the agreement to review before you even commit to coming down.
|
| |
|
Q: Is transportation to and from the jobs provided?
|
|
A: Yes, we have a full time driver on staff who will take you to and from all the jobs booked for you.
You dont have to tip, or pay him anything, his salary is included in the commission you pay for the
jobs you do. Also any one of our staff including our driver will be more then happy to make sure you
need to get to any personal places you need, i.e. the mall, resturants, clothes shopping, or even the
beach if you have a day off.

|
Q: What is health testing and why do I have to do it?
|
|
A: The adult film industry requires that all talent be tested for certain STD's. The test is a simple blood and
urine test that takes only a few minutes. You will receive a "full Panel" test, as well as the other STD's
this covers HIV 1 and 2, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. All talent, male and female, are required to be health
tested every 30 days maximum.

the future.
